Arnissa Bennett was born to McArthur and Patricia Brown of Houston, TX on February 25, 1969. She has been married to Walter Bennett, Jr. for 27 years. Together they have three children, Jasmine Bonner (Maurice), Walter Bennett, III (Trey), Amber Bennett and one grandson Reese. She has been a member of New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for 26 years where she is a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Choir, the Marriage Ministry and serves as a Vacation Bible School Secretary for the Junior Boys I. She has been involved in several plays/productions at New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church such as Women of the Bible (Tamar), He Has Risen (Mother of Jesus), Christmas Lights (Cheryl) and The Devil’s Day in Court (Jezebel). She is very excited that this production, “That’s The Way of The World” is her first debut on a professional stage. Arnissa is an active member of Top Ladies of Distinction Houston’s Chapter where she serves as the Co-Chair of The Sickle Cell Committee and is a member of the Chapter’s Choral. Arnissa is a proud graduate of Texas Southern University (BBA) and of The University of Houston’s School of Paralegal Studies. She has been working in the legal field for 23 years. Her hobbies include volunteering, reading and more importantly spending time with her “Sugawuga” grandson Reese.
