Sonya D. Gooden

Sonya Gooden is a native Houstonian. She is a aspiring actress that has worked with several other productions with Banks Brothers Productions such as  Sins of the Mother, “Blaque Tcherie” and “They Don’t Want to Hear Hattie Sing” where she played the late and great actress Butterfly McQueen all written and directed by the awesome Vincent Victoria. Sonya’s passion for acting has opened many great opportunities with other productions such as “Shout Hallelujah!!”, “Behind Closed Doors” and “Fences” as (Rose) at the Encore Theatre with Harold J Haynes and “Piano Lessons” as ( Bernice) by the late August Wilson at Pearl Theatre with Director Dabrina Sandifer with Eusurient Arts Production. Sonya is dynamic, talented and creative in her gift to entertain and bring life to those who watch her perform and she will continue using her gift to make her mark in the acting world.
