Tanner Ellis

Actor, Tanner Ellis, was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He has been shining on stages acting since age seven. In 2003, he took his first acting class at a film acting school called Acting Up. At the age of ten he began training and performing at The Ensemble Theatre’s Young Performers Program starring in shows such as The Wiz, Back N’ The Day, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, etc., and mainstage show “Joe Tuner’s Come and Gone. He also trained at Theatre Under the Stars, and Mainstreet Theatre performing in Cats, Annie Get Your Gun, and The Witches. Tanner attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, TX with his focus in musical theatre. His senior year of high school he got to take on the role of director as he direted his first childrens play at The Ensemble Theatre. Mr. Ellis then began to broaden himself to more than just theatre. He has worked behind the camera as an intern for the Locations Department on the set of the movie, Carter and June. Tanner than began to be more active in film and worked as a background actor for films and TV shows  such as Girl Trip, starring Regina Hall, OWN’s Queen Sugar, MTV’s Scream, and many more. Tanner is currently studying at the University of Houston majoring in Mass Communications. Tanner has no plan of slowing down now, he plans to have his own production company, and to direct and act in his own works.
